Thank you

Thank you for your participation in the 4th Anti-Corruption South & SE Asia Summit, which was held on 13-15 September 2011 in Singapore. The highlights of the event included the pre-conference afternoon workshop run by Jeffrey Goldberg, Senior Trial Attorney at the DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, as well as the panel on escalating investigations. John Matheson's talk on how Intel engineer the tone from the top also caused a lot of interesting discussion.

Over all you really enjoyed your selves and found the event useful, comments from the event include:
“Great Speakers and comprehensive content”
Roque Castillo, TYCO INTERNATIONAL

“Useful and insightful”
Amalia Batara, JOHNSON & JOHNSON INDONESIA

“I now know where my company’s anti-corruption programme is by comparing with other companies”
Sunan Anantase Ref, JOHNSON & JOHNSON

“Material is good”
Claudette Campbell, STANDARD CHARTERED

“It is great interacting with people from the field”
Peeta Nepal, UNIVERSITY OF MAURITIUS

“Lots of focus on Anti-Corruption”
Roshni Jayantilal, SIME DERBY

We had just over 100 people attend and you came from all over the world. Singaporeans represented 57% of the audience, 14% of you came from the rest of SE Asia. Interestingly 13% of you came from China - I suggest you folks check out our Anti-Corruption China Summit to be held in Beijing in November for more information on the new China foreign bribery laws. Then the next two big groups were those of you from North America (6%) and Australia (4%).

Speakers that have good or attracted comments were: Jeffrey Goldberg (US Department of Justice), John Matheson (Intel), Steve Tunstall (Cathay Pacific), John Winski (Monsanto), Kyle Wombolt (Herbert Smith), Frank Schmidt (Siemens), Peter Coleman (Deloitte) and Julie Winkler (GE Money).

We do hope you'll join us at our next event, the 6th Anti-Corruption China Summit in Beijing on 15-17 November. The Head of the Office of the Whistleblower from the SECURITIES AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION (SEC) will be speaking - which is not something to be missed in light of the whistleblower provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act.

We will also address hot new topics at our 5th Anti-Corruption Asia Congress, to be held in Hong Kong in February - including the impact of social media, using psychological techniques in compliance prevention and investigation and a country temperature check taking you through the local laws and penalties across Asia. I hope to see you there.

With warm wishes
