Kunal Sinha is Regional Cultural Insights Director at Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific, based in Shanghai. A 21 year veteran of the advertising industry, he is a nine-time winner of the WPP Atticus award for original thinking in the marketing services.
His work encompasses trendspotting, cultural analysis and forecasting. In the early part of his career, he focused on developing communications strategies with low income communities in South Asia; his current area of expertise lies in the area of how cultures shape consumer demand, desire and branding. Kunal was listed in the millennium edition of the Who’s Who in the World, has spoken at leading universities including Harvard, Kellogg, Cambridge University, Syracuse University, Peking University, University of New South Wales and Australian National University. He is a prolific writer with an output that ranges from academic papers, blogs, columns in business and trade media, to three books including the award-winning ‘China’s Creative Imperative’.
