Following our successful 2009 Asia Rail Congress in Bangkok Thailand last year, Beacon Events is pleased to announce details of this year’s conference. Now in its 17th year, Asia Rail 2010 will take place on Monday 29th November to Thursday 2nd December in Singapore.

Last year’s event experienced an increase in delegate numbers and sponsorship participation during a difficult economic period. More than 200 delegates were in attendance – 45% of which came from rail operators and the government sector.

Invensys Rail, Lloyd’s Register Rail and Alcatel-Lucent also played a pivotal role as Senior Sponsors and we are delighted that they have again agreed to support this year’s conference.

As governments continue to invest in their railway infrastructure, this long standing annual Congress remains the definitive event for those seeking to learn about the latest rail developments, challenges and solutions, and new business opportunities in the Asia Pacific region.

The conference programme will explore key developments and opportunities including:

  • Update on the latest rail projects across Asia
  • The latest rail market developments in Singapore
  • Planning sustainable metros and key regional projects
  • Benchmarking best practice for the rail industry
  • CBTC deployment, interoperability and maintenance
  • Integrated ticketing challenges and solutions
  • Key air-rail links and station design developments and innovations
  • An analysis of the PPP business case and rail financing strategies
  • The latest high-speed project opportunities
