Summary of transit related experience:
12 years’ experience in the projects, operations (OCC power/service controllers), maintenance and upgrading of the transit power system (high voltage/low voltage/DC system, fire monitoring /protection systems and essential power supply units like UPS/emergency generators).
4 years in managing trains operations which include OCC operations (all controllers) and train crew/depot operations (all train operators & controllers).
3 years in managing the driverless & automatic Light Rail system (Bukit Panjang) which include operations and maintenance of the infrastructure ,rolling stock, signalling & communication systems, power & services,station equipment (AFC) and revenue collection.
5 years & current as the Head of the Strategic Business Head (SBU) for the SMRT Light Rail Pte Ltd. The responsibilities include the system performance and financial performance of the light rail operations.
2 years in the start-up of the Circle Line operations (stage 1) in the areas of trial run, manpower set-up, competency management in terms of training & certification, logistics and equipment taking/handing over management, defect management ,track access management, configuration management and other operations readiness action plans for revenue service. Current responsibilities in Circle Line include heading the SMRT’scommissioning and trial run teams for the stage 2 (11 stations) for the preparation for revenue service in early 2010.
