SK is a civil engineering graduate of the University of Hong Kong and also obtained an M.A. (Transport Studies) from the same University in 1995. He is a Corporate Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. He joined Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation in 1985 and has been involved in the design, construction and maintenance of both the operating railway and new extensions.
After the railway merger in 2007, SK became the Permanent Way Implementation Manager with overall responsibility for the 2nd line maintenance, asset renewal & minor works of P-Way assets for all MTR lines in HK. He was temporarily posted to the Lantau Airport Railway as Acting Infrastructure Maintenance Manager – LAR during the period Oct 2008 to Mar 2009.
SK is currently the Infrastructure Maintenance Manager – TKL responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the infrastructure equipment for the Tseung Kwan O Line of the MTR network in HK.
