Lakthan is a Deputy Operations Director of BMCL. BMCL is a co-investor and the concessionaire operator of the M.R.T Chaloem Ratchamongkhon Line, which is the Thailand first underground mass transit system.
The M.R.T Chaloem Ratchamongkhol Line is a PPP project. The government section by Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) invested in Civil Infrastructure part. While, the private sector by BMCL invested in M&E Equipment. After the construction completed, MRTA handed-over the Civil Infrastructure to BMCL, then BMCL operates and maintains the system to provide revenue service for 25 years. The system started its revenue service in mid of 2004.
Lakthan obtained his Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Chulalongkorn University. He started his carry in petrochemical and petroleum refining industry. He has 15 years experience in electrical equipment and system including power generation and distribution system for petrochemical plant and petroleum refinery.
Lakthan joined BMCL at the beginning of 2003 as M&E Maintenance Section Chief. Mid of 2003, he was assigned to be Safety and Quality Manager. He participated in safety verification of the system including trial running. He was responsible to develop and implement safety management system and quality management system. Both management systems has been certified according to OSHAS 18001:2007 and ISO9001:2000.
Lakthan was re-assigned to be Engineering and Maintenance Manager at the beginning of 2006. His responsibility was management of the out-soured maintenance activities done by the contractors and implementation of small modification projects. He is also responsible to develop and implement asset management system.
At the beginning of 2008, Lakthan has been promoted to be Deputy Operations Director to oversee engineering and maintenance activities.
