John Nuttall is a mechanical engineer with over 30 years' experience in railway engineering. The first half of his career, with British Rail, was spent in operational and maintenance engineering on rolling stock and other E&M systems, later taking responsibility for maintenance standards and specifications. For the past 15 years he has been involved in rail projects around the world, especially in Asia, and was based in Singapore in the early 2000s. He is currently located in Sydney, Australia as project manager for technical advisor services to RailCorp for the new Sydney suburban EMU PPP rolling stock project.
